Setka Cup launches beach volleyball tournaments in Kyiv

The Setka Cup platform has launched the first format of daily fast beach volleyball tournaments in Kyiv. All matches are played on professional indoor sports grounds at X-Park and live streamed on the platform’s YouTube channel.

The organizer of tournaments is the NGO “Kyiv Volleyball Federation”, which holds competitions of different levels and with players of various sports qualifications: masters and candidates for master of sports, participants of international and national beach volleyball competitions, and young athletes.

More than 150 players, amateurs and masters of sports in classic and beach volleyball have already registered for participation (prior registration is required). Tournaments comply with FIVB Official Beach Volleyball Rules.

“A year ago, our country did not have the infrastructure for constant training and playing beach volleyball. Therefore, even if an athlete wanted to play, there were no indoor locations and regular tournaments that could properly train him for participation in global competitions,” says Artem Novoselov, VP of the NGO “Kyiv Volleyball Federation”, organizer of Setka Cup Volleyball tournaments. “Now, thanks to the Setka Cup initiative, every week 50 athletes compete in our tournament and can concentrate on the game.”

Organizers hold 16 2×2 matches every day, and each game lasts up to 50 minutes. Professional referees are present at each match. The ranking system splits players into groups of comparable skills, making the game even more engaging and dynamic.

Athletes’ schedules are available on the official page of the tournament: .

Setka Cup also provides live streaming of all matches on the Setka Cup Volleyball channel, which boosts interest in the tournament, particularly among fans and athletes.
